UPDATE OF THE YEAR: The coat is still in excellent condition after almost a year of use. All zippers are intact, the fabric is not torn. It still fits into a coat so going up a size was a good idea. It has adjustable straps around the cuffs as well as an extra piece of fabric to tuck in my thumbs which I use by putting on gloves when it's snowing to keep snow out of the sleeves. The down on the inside is still in good condition and I recommend either tumble drying or air drying when drying to avoid ruining the down. Overall I would buy again if I need a different size after it outgrows it, but if you have more children (only child) keep the old coat for them as it's worth holding on to. I hope this helps with the purchase decision. ORIGINAL POST: So I bought this product slightly larger than my son's size as he is a very fast grower and usually grows back within a few months. I figured if I was going to pay the price for quality then it should take a while. My son loves the coat (bought in his favorite color) and wears it when we go out. It's very warm inside which is great because this area we love gets very cold as winter approaches. The fabric is durable and the zippers stand up to my son fiddling with them. The sweatshirt is detachable and a decent size which is nice because my son has a big head like his dad. None of the pockets are fake like the last jacket I bought and returned which is a big improvement.
