This FD20 laser receiver works great. It is compatible with the Firecore 94T-XG green laser level. Although there are many uses for it, I mainly use it to set elevations or offsets around a construction site. I place my laser in the middle of the room and press the "receive" button on the laser so it can read. I move the receiver along the walls and mark my height for the height offset. Works perfectly! You can use the receiver horizontally or vertically. Supplied with a pole attachment for a riser pole. Also works well in good light or sunlight. The receiver's beeps help transmit the laser line without having to keep looking at the screen. Your steady tone shows you're on target. The beeper can be set to two modes: louder or quieter, or it can be used when the sound is muted. Overall, this is a great layout tool that makes transferring lines and dots a lot easier.
