Review on πŸ”Š Dynamat 50306 DynaBox Speaker Enclosure: Optimal Solution for In Ceiling Speakers by Sandra Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Flexible high quality rubber lined speaker enclosure

If you're fitting in-ceiling speakers to an existing ceiling I don't know of a better product. Thick calibrated rubber with quality fit in the cover on all sides and top. I used them for 6.5" speakers, removed the rig, rolled up the box and inserted it into the hole that was cut out. Expand in space. It is very easy to work with, I thought I would have trouble with a very tight space filled with duck. But thanks to the flexibility of the boxes, I was able to maneuver on the spot and push the device. It cut off some installs but was easy enough. On average it took me about 20 minutes to install, install and seal the box. Tight box, maybe 30 minutes. Ouch. resonant sound. Well, on the floor above, the sounds from 11 loudspeakers are still audible. But indoors these boxes make the speaker sound muffled and full, no vibrations from duck work can be heard or noticed. In terms of sound, they can easily keep up with floor-standing speakers.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Annoying
