This camera is an absolute buy if you are looking for an entry-level camera. Camera. rotate screen? To verify. audio input? To verify. hot shoe mount? To verify. ultra wide angle lens? To verify. Can it be used as a webcam? Check. Let's say right away that the picture quality is okay. It's not very good, but it's perfectly acceptable, especially if this is your first camera. The real surprise about this thing is the sound. Really solid sound for the price. I've definitely bought more expensive cameras with worse sound. I was able to take it out of the box, start shooting and immediately get very acceptable results. It's a solid camera at a great price, and you can get used to a camera with a detachable lens, attachable microphone, hot shoe mount, and folding screen. All of these things that would typically cost you around $700-$800 just to start the experience. On a very practical level, it serves as a fantastic replacement for your laptop's built-in webcam. You get a much wider angle that lets in a lot more light. I had a great time guesting on the podcast because I use this thing as a webcam. Graininess or blur didn't bother me, I just had fun. I can't guarantee this even with my standalone branded webcam. It's a great option to spend that $700, $800, or $1,000 to dive into a more tactical camera experience.
