Four starts because you get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting better quality for the price, but it does the job if you're just looking for a few heads to snip off. It is mostly made up of plastic hair, so it is more difficult to work with and trim when trying new haircuts and hairstyles. Great for hairdresser or student practice but not top quality. I wouldn't trust him with the heat next to him
