Review on πŸ”ͺ Effortlessly Slice Through Cables with Pedro's Bicycle Cable Cutter by Mike Bogan

Amazing Cord Cutter

This is a very stylish and well made machine. It cuts through an internal cable or housing like oil. I'm an electrician and was reluctant to buy a bike cable cutter as the tools I had on hand got the job done. I've had occasional trouble with some of the cases, but there was nothing that wouldn't normally heal a second cut and maybe reopen it with an awl, so I figured I wouldn't need to spend money on a special tool. But this tool does such a good job that as soon as I got my hands on it I had to buy it. This is a high quality hand tool. The locking mechanism is very smooth-running, as is the return spring. It can be easily operated and used with one hand, leaving the other hand free to hold the cable. The locking cam is easy to open and close with one hand, and the spring is designed not to catch your hand or snag on clothing. The blades are very sharp, won't chip, dull and cut well so there aren't many problems with breaking the cable housing spools. Even if it does curl a bit, sometimes the tool has a deep notch so you can easily cut the cue and get the nice flat and smooth end in the body you want. The pen has a luxuriously soft yet durable yellow rubberized grip on a wide, curved grip so it's comfortable to use and won't dig into your fingers or palm. This cutter is of the quality of an expensive power tool such as a Klein or Ideal. I would recommend this tool to anyone starting out on their own bike. It will last a lifetime if you take care of it and keep it dry and safe. This is a real 5 star tool. You really can't go wrong with Pedro's or Park's instruments. This is the best cable tool I have ever seen.
