Review on Rugged Ridge 18265 22 Shackle Wrangler by Eddie Man

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good for the reasons you install them.

I bought these but all four were boomerangs. Comments about nuts being too tight? Are those silly pansy comments about how their balls are tight? Locknuts are provided to prevent accidental loosening which can have catastrophic consequences. They must be difficult to turn. Very complicated. Yes! These are boomerang shackles. I like greased braces. The center angle and placement of the tubes is designed to prevent the caliper from "tipping" when riding off-road, which could bend and destroy the spring. The steel tube with the through-bolt contacts the frame, preventing the shackle from tipping over and bending the spring. I didn't need more buoyancy (tall braces are unsightly and unsafe anyway), but the 1-1/4" length of braces over standard gives 5/8" buoyancy, which is exactly the buoyancy a 1-1 / 4 brackets should bid. 4 inches. (Standard braces are 4" centered, these are 5-1/4" centered. Reviews complaining about not getting a 1" lift are just stupid because you need 2" extended braces to get a lift 1" They are just showing their ignorance They have survived some tough off-road use including bending the suspension struts and springs but have worked very well, 100% intact. I would buy them again.
