Review on VEVA HEPA Filter Replacements (6 Pack) - Compatible with Honeywell Air Purifier Series HPA090, HPA100, HPA200, HPA250 & HPA300 by Josh Cox

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These filters are great for my Honeywell HPA101-TGT Air Purifier!

I used to buy overpriced filters for my air purifier but this one seems to perform well in HEPA! The fit is perfect, it snaps into place with minimal effort, but (importantly) the filter doesn't "loosen" either. My air purifier doesn't have filter locks, so this behavior is ideal for me. I have found these filters reliable enough that I use the air purifier on turbo and put it next to the dehumidifier when blowing the dust. sometimes coils. The dust dissolves in the filter and I never feel anything strange. I end up changing the filters when I notice the fan running fast. I will be buying another pack of these very soon. I go through them all the time and meticulously clean this old (1930's era) house I inherited because there are TONS of fine dust everywhere. I carry this cleaner from room to room for sweeping, dusting and repairs because I really want to minimize the risk of "finding asbestos in my lungs" as much as possible. On a note; They are not rating these filters for using asbestos or lead paint, I only use them to help with that as I have work I need to do no matter what. I can't afford overpriced commercial quality lead/asbestos materials. But in the "can't be asbestos" reviews, these filters appear to absorb quite a bit of material before clogging. I am very happy. Edit: Oh no! I'm coming back to order some more of these but they're sold out and they don't know when they'll be back in stock. Hmm sadness. However, having used five out of six despite not doing particle testing with laser scintillation, these filters matched my Honeywell very well in my super informal "use them" tests. They have an odd smell when open but I just pop them open, swirl them around a bit and they fit me. For people who find the smell rather foul-smelling, I would suggest waving them in the air for a moment. I think it's just a hardener, like a rosin evaporative or something else that dries out a bit in the package. If you're really desperate, maybe unwrap the filters and leave them outside with your laundry for an hour or so. I could put them on my covered porch and let them toast in the sun this morning and then bring them back. They smell a little to me but for people it's really a problem, open them outside and (protect from rain/snow) let them get some air and they will most likely be fine.
