I have had various types of stands including cell phone stands as well as stands for other purposes and the first time I bought this stand specifically for my 12 inch iPad Pro. First impressions are that the stand is lightweight and the hinge is rigid, meaning the hinge can be adjusted in any position and stays strong. The only problem I have is that I usually carry my iPad in a Logitech case and there is no way I can put the iPad in the case and put it on the stand. It does not fit or hold the iPad inside due to the weight of the case. All in all, the stand does what it's supposed to do, hold your tablet in place, but if you want your tablet to stand on the stand with a case on, then that won't work for you. Build quality and simplicity are a plus. If you are looking for a minimalist stand then this is for you.
