Review on SandShark Ultimate Large Boat Sand Anchor: Adjustable, Compact Storage, Boat and Pontoon Protection in Shallow Water, Beach, Sandbar (with Case) by Andrew Spainhour

Great product with a few minor flaws

I have tried 4 other types of beach anchors and settled on this one which works. Things I like include: great handle design, telescopic rail easy to store, drill bit works better than others I've tried. I highly recommend taking a bungee cord. It's worth it. I also took a cheap carabiner to attach it to the anchor. 2 main cons: 1. As mentioned, the tolerances are tight, so any sand will bind the slide (I have a small hammer and wd40, but I wish the manufacturer had loosened the tolerances a bit. 2. The holes that the spring - loaded pins slide in so small that the pin often slips past it. The design of both of these things could definitely be improved. Having said that, I still think it's the best of its kind at the moment.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
