Make sure the screw heads are flush

Advantages: Good fit when installed correctly. Brackets are heavy, need adequate support Cons (only one really): ENSURE screw heads are flush with bracket after installation. While it is a good thing that the braces fit snugly, there is very little room for a custom screw that will cause the head to tilt/sit slightly higher than the body of the brace. Therefore, install the screws VERY perpendicular to the bracket (no small angles) and right in the middle of the mounting holes. Otherwise the screw heads will not sit properly and will either tilt upwards or simply sit too high. When one of these conditions occurs, the parentheses don't match. Manufacturer's Suggestion: Check that the mounting holes can be set back slightly to allow for a slight assembly error that would result in the screw heads being seated deeper. Alternatively, you may be able to increase the height of the stop post to allow more space between the brackets. More space might not be ideal, but most users will likely not have their screw heads flush, which then makes up for the difference and eventually secures the mounts. Just a thought.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
