Wouldn't buy again but I kept them because I can still use them to wash fruit/vegetables but I would NEVER use them to drain pasta. The sides aren't stable, they bulge and bulge, and there are no holes on the sides for water to escape, so all water has to go through the bottom. So if you install this in a sink and then try to pipe the paste in, the water can't really come out so it stays at the bottom until the water can slowly drain away. So if you do NOT clean the sink, any dirt/crumbs in the sink will go back into the cooked food. If the ring on the bottom was 1" in diameter and had a way to drain the water they would work great, but the ring is tight so you have to lift it to really drain. but if you are only rinsing fruit/vegetables then this is perfect because you can hold it across the bottom of the sink and rinse and it drains well from the holes in the bottom. Spend extra dollars and get colanders with holes in the sides!
