The screen is difficult to see due to the use of a transflective screen and although the 590's screen is larger than the 550, the fonts and streets are smaller and much harder to see than on my old Garmin 550. The 590 requires LOTS of button presses to get tangled up in the menus. The advanced weather option is terrible and only shows a tiny pixelated storm and you can't zoom in on the local view of the storm. . I was only able to zoom in to show half of Florida and a tiny pink pixel showing a storm 200 miles away. The ONLY feature I like about the 590 is the connection to Pandora, except that this GPS is an older version of the earlier models. Motorcyclists need an easy to use device with simple and fast menu options. The screen must be BRIGHT and CLEAR to be seen while driving on the road. This device is a waste of money and I went back to my Garmin 550. I can only hope that Garmin stops making excuses for the 590 and gets back to the drawing board to create a great motorcycle GPS.
