I originally bought this pair to use as surround back speakers in my existing home theater system which I bought a Sonos Connect for (instead of buying more for front wireless speakers and subwoofer to pay) . While they worked brilliantly for this application, I quickly realized that the sound quality, even at high volumes, meant I was underestimating their capabilities. I moved one further back to function as a functional speaker in my kitchen and the other in my dining room where it still provides surround sound when my home theater system needs it but adds additional musical options for that space. I have to say that I seriously underestimated their audio quality as I thought the wireless transmission would make them a bit weak. I'm very happy to say I was wrong and these are fantastic speakers. I will be buying a few more for my bedroom, bathroom and gym.
