I've had mine for about a month now and although I have very sensitive skin I haven't experienced the slightest side effect. The crystals are bright and shiny, have not fallen out. Overall a great ring! I only wish I had to buy 10 of these. Gave a few to friends and they love them just as much. ****UPDATE**** 7/24/14 I had a terrible reaction to the downside of this naval post. The ball actually blistered my skin. At first I assumed the piercing itself was infected. Upon further investigation I found that I was reacting to the metal. When I removed it I got a bubble that was exactly the same size and shape as the pinball. It's clearly infected, bright red/swollen/crusted. I had to remove the pin immediately and start antibiotics and daily cleansing until the skin healed. I threw away the rest I had because I didn't want to risk another unsightly and painful infection!
