Review on Filtrete Healthy Allergen Reduction Furnace: Breathe Clean Air, Live Healthy! by Eddie Fowler

I ordered these filters in September so had them ready when my current stock of filters ran out. When I installed one on February 15th, 2020 it was too late to return it so maybe this review will save people some money. Immediately after replacing the old filter (not of this type), problems with the stove began. The oven fan was running, but cold air was coming out of the vents. I called my furnace builder who I have relied on for over 20 years and on the phone he told me to take the filter out and leave it running without the filter until it arrives the next day. The oven was operating normally when this filter was removed. The next day I went to check the oven and look at the filter. He told me to throw them out, they are so thick it's like sticking a piece of cardboard in the filter slot. Now the basic filter is used, which is significantly cheaper and can be replaced more frequently. The density of the filter does not allow some stoves to flare up, there is not enough airflow. For some people this may not be an issue if their oven is newer, but if you have an older oven you might want to consider a different type of filter. Too late for me, but maybe it will help someone.
