Review on Fluke LVD2 CT Counter Display by Juan Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent non-contact voltage detector

What sets the Fluke LVD2 apart from other non-contact voltage sensors is the positive feedback and proximity sensor. I insisted on a tool that, in addition to the usual "live circuit check", would let me know it was working while using it. The flashlight gives feedback that the Fluke has enough battery power and is working, rather than attic assuming the voltage sensor is still working after the first test. With the Fluke Pink to Blue feature, you can mark when you're close to pink, and then you're on the right track when blue is a GREAT feature! Along with the other feedback option, the "close" sensor worked so well in my experience that it found a hot wire in a bundle of 4 "black" wires. I am very satisfied with the device and feel absolutely safe with it. My other "Beep" units are now in the "Only When I Really Need Them" stack. One small note, it doesn't beep which would be nice but I still give it 5 stars.

Pros
  • 100,000 hour LED
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok
