Review on Hunter Indoor Ceiling Fan Control Appliances for Large Appliance Accessories by Edgardo Ennis

Works fine but installation.

Just installed two of these. I've been a carpenter for almost 30 years and I have access to every tool you could wish for. The fans look nice and produce a nice breeze, but as the title suggests, installation was a pain. There are two main issues, one is a little fiddly and the other is a definite downside: 1. Difficulty - as many others have pointed out, tightening the screw that holds the light block is a bit of a trick. Wires in this area get pinched and don't get around easily. I had about a millimeter of play when screwing in the adjusting screw. A bit annoying, but with a little patience and a magnetic screw head it can be done.2. The downside is the attachment of the fan blades with mounting screws - I could NOT get all three screws to fully hold the blades. I tried releasing them to start all three before pulling anyone up to no avail. I tried tightening one to make sure the holes lined up - no. After about 20 minutes of cursing and sweating, I took the blade out and tried to put the fastening screw in, and AHA: it doesn't fit! I always thought I misaligned the blade, but about 4 screw holes wouldn't fit the machine screws even without the blade. So I assembled the fan using the ones that could be tightened and left the rest as tight as I could. Not what I expected from Hunter.
