Bad mouse? no Is that a waste of money? Pretty sure. Why? Let's get into that. Basically, there's nothing *seriously* wrong with that. The main buttons work and feel good. No latency issues. Nice scroll wheel. The problem is that it has to be a gaming mouse and some of its features are no longer competitive in this market. The G305 was much more attractive in the market it was released in. 2021 rather not. The G305 weighs around 100 grams with a standard AA battery inside. Wireless is worth adding a few grams, but it's still not great for a gaming mouse, especially at this size. Other wireless models, some of which are larger, also weigh over 20 grams more. While these mice typically cost you significantly more, they're arguably worth it and the G305 just isn't. To bring the G305 to a competitive level with other wireless mice from Razer, Glorious, G-Wolves or even Logitech's own G Pro, the following must happen: a weight reduction of at least 20g; better weight distribution; responsible for most of these problems. You can get AAA batteries and use tinfoil balls or an AA adapter to reduce the battery's weight, but overall it's still a bit heavy and heavy. Keep in mind that you'll need to replace the standard battery anyway, adding to the cost. The extra adapters you need when you buy AAA for weight loss add to the cost. You're almost certainly slowing down your gaming performance for no reason if you think wired gaming mice in the same price range will beat this mouse to death. If you're looking for a good gaming mouse that won't break the bank, I'd recommend the following: Razer Viper MiniHyperX Pulsefire HasteG-Wolves Skoll MiniRoccat Burst Pro They're just better than the G305 overall (unless you hate theirs Shape). ) and are usually cheaper. But since the ACTUAL total cost of the G305 includes at least the batteries on top of the mouse, you could opt for something more expensive like the G-Wolves Hati-S Classic and not see much of a difference in how much your wallet will cost away and get wired despite a much better product. Just LOVE the G305 shape so much that after all of the above you still want it? Take G203. This stock is 14g or 15g lighter and fun to mod if you want to go that route. I made new cable, tape, skates and drilled holes in mine. Weight now 67 gr. A few months ago it cost $15. To be honest I wouldn't do it again because I'll never use it again. But it's better than the G305, even if it looks terrible. I don't even think the G203 is anything special. The side buttons on the 203/305 case are rubbish. legs suck. The shape isn't the best. Logitech's click tension on these models is simply EXCELLENT - to the point where their clicks feel on par or even better than some mice with better switches. This is the most impressive feature of Logitech Wired Egg mice. Aren't you buying this mouse to play with? If you just love the shape and want something wireless, then the G305 isn't overly expensive. If you want a gaming mouse for productivity then I would go for the G502 but it has a terrible cable unless you buy the very expensive wireless version. However, you can also get wireless office mice for next to nothing if gaming isn't an issue. Buying this mouse for gaming is just a performance sacrifice in exchange for very little convenience, as you have to remove the battery to charge or replace the battery. However. There is almost no reason to buy the G305 anymore. His time has come and gone.
