Review on HQST PWM Solar Charge Controller, 20A Flush Mount with LCD Display, USB Port, 17 Load Controller Modes for 12/24V AGM, Gel, Flooded, Lithium Batteries by Doug Virden

This was my first experience with HQST. I have 2 of their solar panels which are great. But this solar charger has been a disaster from day one. To be fair, I think things can't be done, and I think this was one of those things. The tips didn't tug on the wires and my batteries didn't charge. When the running lights flashed, I bought another charger because there was a spark between the positive pole of the battery. I installed a new one and it works great, but it's a different brand. Based on my experience and having worked with solar panel systems for over 2 years, I cannot recommend this solar charger. But as I said, the panels work great. I will buy panels from them again.
