Mixed feelings but you have a great description

I ordered two of these to have one in each of my cars. One arrived used and with missing parts. I was not offered a replacement option and have decided to return both. I had to install a game with a new one and liked how it was laid out and how it fit on the dashboard. It's very durable and the suction cup is probably the best design. I started looking for a similar mount but couldn't find this quality for less than $30 and since I only paid $21 each I thought I'd keep both. For functionality; This block is actually very simple. It just opens a proprietary app that you need to install on your phone. It has a built-in CR2016 battery and it "feels" like your phone is attached to the mount; This will open the application. More specifically, once the magnet on the cradle is attracted to the phone, it completes a circuit within the cradle that recognizes that the phone is attached. In this case, the device doesn't actually interact with Alexa and doesn't interact with anything else; The app will open and that's it. From now on, all functions are basically on your phone. The app "becomes" an Alexa Skill and you need to customize the permissions to suit your scenario. It has a wake up gesture that can be chosen between "Hello five" on camera or a wave gesture, as well as on camera. Also, it's obviously useless that you can focus on the road instead of getting in trouble with law enforcement by manually opening apps on your phone to do the same. It annoyed me when I hung in front of the camera with different intentions. Also, Alexa doesn't work with every command; In my case, it doesn't find any radio stations that I can "order" directly from my phone's Alexa or my eco-points. My phone is Note 8, which exceeds the requirements for running this device. The three stars are in part thanks to the seller who sold me a used device with missing parts (mounting plates are missing - they're $20 each!), but the fact that I got two devices for the same phone allowed me to to use both. and for being powered by a very small battery that I don't know how long will last. The battery issues aren't even addressed in the description; Actually, the description is very simple. Would I recommend it to a friend? For around $20 new, this would be a very nice dash mount with added features. I'd rather explain what he's doing and let my friend decide. Shame on the seller who is selling a used unit with parts missing!
