10 year expiration date is incorrect, batteries are expiring

batteries I received had an expiration date of 2024. This order was fulfilled by Amazon so the batteries have been in their inventory for years. Obviously I run out of them quickly so I don't pay attention to the expiration date and they always deliver the performance and value I expect for the price, but I'm constantly frustrated when I get gifts from Amazon because of the expiration dates far from 10 years and should expire within 3 or 4 years. years of shopping in my experience. When I buy a box of Duracells with a 10 year expiration date, they're always fairly new, with release dates far in the future. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but Amazon always sends me batteries with an expiration date of a few years. I order them, as I said, I'll use them up quickly so it's not a big issue for me, but if you're buying to keep them on the shelf for a long time, Amazon batteries are definitely not for you.

Pros
  • DISPOSABLE BATTERIES: These batteries are NOT rechargeable; for refillable options see Amazon Basics Batteries
