When some of our electric window candles were not working properly (again) when we installed our Christmas decorations, we decided to replace some of them. She. Our search yielded a TUDAK set of 6 Dusk 'til Dawn window candles. Their customer rating was 4.4/5.0 and the price was $59.95, or about $10 each. The ones we replaced cost $1.50 (sale) to $3 (regular) each. We thought that the high failure rate of our original lights was probably due to their cheap manufacturing. However, the $10 per candle cost of TUDAK candles suggested they were of significantly higher quality. So we ordered a set. Of the six lightbulbs, they burned out within 1 minute of being turned on. Favoring evidence-based estimates over purely rational ones, we have to conclude that these $10 candles are just as cheaply made and just as useless as those that cost 67% less. We give them a clear "do not buy” recommendation.
