My 12-1/2 year old Golden Retriever suffers from Legg-Calve-Perthes and severe arthritis. She got to the point where she couldn't get up after laying down on our laminate or tile floors. If she wasn't on the carpet, she wouldn't have the strength to get up. She injured her shoulder and broke her wrist trying to get up. Our vet recommended we check them out and they changed everything. As soon as we put it on, it stands upright - without difficulty. They support her not only when standing up, but also when walking. Her hind legs slide out from under her, but when they're on her, she doesn't slide at all. I change them about once a week. They start to come off within a few days, but I've found that as long as she keeps 2-3 attached, she can work. This was a lifesaver as they let her go anywhere in our house she wanted to go.
