Review on πŸ”§ GM Genuine Parts 10350647 BCM Body Control Module (Improved SEO) by Troy Rotermund

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Completely unreliable.

Just today (March 15, 2018) I had time to finally ship it to a Chevy dealership (Serra Chevrolet, Southfield, Michigan). After installation the dealer tried to program only for the dealer mechanic to get back to me and call me to his work station to show me so I could see for myself - the Tech II read "BCM IS SECURED". and I was told the BCM could not be programmed. The dealer recommended buying a new part from them (for $320!) and having them install and program it since apparently even with them the new BCMs they sell themselves are random. sooo Looks like I ran out of $125 and need to spend more? Update 1: April 7th: Revain customer service went to work and sent me a replacement BCM without my knowledge (and I sent back the faulty one). At the dealer I programmed a new block (approx. 100 $ more) - successfully on April 21st. Hooray! My car starts immediately! The engine starts and purrs like in a dream again! Thank you Revain CS! You are great! Update 2: May 8th, 2018: At work, trying to get home at the end of a long day. Turning the key in the lock again will not start the engine. If I leave it in the "on" position for a few minutes, eventually the lights on the instrument cluster come on as they should and I can complete the corner and start the engine. This is exactly the same behavior as before. I wonder if this new BCM is also blocked. Update 3: May 12th: Dealer's Tech 2 GM High Quality Diagnostic Utility confirms this – This new BCM is also locked! (see appendix) What are the chances? And it's real ACDelco equipment!
