Not being a super professional who makes a living from photography, I was looking for a cheap wide-angle lens for my Nikon D700 camera. This Tamron lens is exactly what I needed. It focuses very quickly and I take excellent quality pictures. A NOTICE! If you're using the same (or similar) camera as me (D700), don't forget to set the lens's aperture ring to the locked position! Otherwise you will get an error message on your camera. With the lens ring locked, use the CAMERA dial (in manual mode M or A) to control the lens aperture. In other words, the aperture ring should remain locked (at 22) in any mode, but the actual aperture will depend on camera settings.
