Love it for lots of good reasons

First I bought this because someone at my work lost part of the filter basket when I left it in the kitchen to dry. replacement and stumbled across it. First Impression: Very pleasantly satisfied - for various reasons previously expressed by others; Please note that the number of stars I have given is based on points 1, 2 and 3. I will not base the star count on a purely subjective metric (taste). incredulous as I just used it for the first time). Love the fact that it's only a 1 layer filter - I've heard nightmares with other metal filters that use 2 layers where soil gets caught between the 2 layers and you can never remove that soil. I shouldn't have this problem. with one layer. At least if you do, you can poke the affected holes with a needle and get on with your life. 2: not a drip - when I first used a standard aero press with paper filters I found it silly how you're supposed to mix a coffee drink for x seconds while your coffee goes straight through the filter leaving you with a weaker drink. Yes, the inverted method takes care of that, but still. The whole zero drip thing is so good - now I don't even have to flip. 3: No side jet - even when using different sized jars, at least a little side jet makes a mess on the counter or on my clothes. who are you). Stop basing the number of stars you award on a 100% subjective metric. As for my personal taste, it definitely tasted better than what I could use with standard paper filters (inverted or traditional) with the exact same bottom. It's also worth noting that the product DEFINITELY had a thicker texture (obviously not espresso - everyone knows you can't get real espresso without selling your firstborn to buy a real espresso machine). People also attribute a lot to the foam produced - well, yes. Didn't get much crema, but that's not the machine's fault, it's the fault of using an old spare coffee as I ran out of the good stuff. Given that this is a completely different extraction technique than a real espresso machine, you can personally all argue that this isn't real crema. I honestly don't care, I'm not a coffee snob, taste is more than presentation. Well, if the thing breaks after a very short time, I'll mark it here. Hooray!
