I have a number of ZWave devices. Switches, sockets and types of external power cords. (see my old reviews). Mostly Z-Wave with some ZWave plus. I had an alarm clock (GE) as a ZWave controller, then another alarm clock model (still GE), then USB stick + Raspberry Pi and HomeAssistant and now Samsung SmartThings (v3? latest version late 2018). The Samsung SmartThings hub is in a different location and I suspect it doesn't do very well as a Z-Wave transceiver in terms of range. In case you're wondering, yes, I followed Samsung's instructions on which side of the device has the highest ZWave signal. Anyway, I've also added the Ring "Chime" doorbell, which I believe also uses ZWave (albeit on its own zWave doorbell network). It was enough for me that part of the network (the only outlet) was not reliably connected to the network. No network repair. This device, intelligently placed where I think I had the biggest hole in my mesh network, cured the problem. me.
