The side of the Sherpa was soaked with water, but the liquid did not flow to the other side. The fleece side kept the water in the pool but didn't leak out to the other side. Wash normally in a household washing machine, then dry. I thought the fluffy side would fill the lint trap but it didn't. I have a Liberator Facinator. I use it in the bedroom for extracurricular activities in the bedroom. That works great. Tested this blanket with the same result. The difference is that this blanket is a little lighter and moves a little. But since it is larger, there were no problems. In conclusion, I don't believe the 1 star haters.
