It's worth it! suitable for automotive electronics accessories

I used a pair of headphone jack style bluetooth receivers on my 2011 Pathfinder. There's always hiss, the volume gets really loud, and the battery always dies eventually (probably because I've exposed them to Michigan winters). I bought another one and came across this product and decided to try it instead. Installation: This was a fairly easy installation after watching a few youtube videos on how to access the back of the radio. This requires removing the shift knob, but it can all be done with simple hand tools. The 2 screws to remove have torx heads so make sure you have some for that. From there it is just a matter of identifying the correct wire harnesses, connecting them, finding a spot for the ground wire and a spot to attach the box. I attached mine with velcro. Installation instructions are included with the device. There are charts and they are easy to follow. Sound quality: great! Volume gets loud and noise is minimal. Everyday use: I have a Pixel 3 XL and use Android Auto. Every time I turn the key, my phone connects within seconds. My car doesn't always remember which station I last tuned the radio to, so I often have to press Preset #4 to turn on Bluetooth, even if I left it on that station the last time I turned the car off. Again, this slight annoyance relates to the car, not this Bluetooth device. I've had it for months now and I will never be able to go back. It may be expensive but I think it was worth it.
