Since the release of the Z-series, I knew that I would switch to mirrorless. But I, as a pragmatic user, was stopped by several points in older models. I did not want to overpay for some features in them that I will not use. So I was waiting for the release of Z5. It has everything I need for my work. Nice price for a new full-frame camera as well. Pros: What I love about all Nikon cameras is the ergonomics and intuitive menus. I have been photographing with Nikon for 15 years, I have changed 5 models, and have never regretted it. Difficulties in the transition from one model to another never arose. Of course, the Z5 has a slightly different button layout, but, as they say, everything is at hand, a matter of habit. And at the same time, that the camera is compact (photo from the D750 below), comfortable grip. There is something to compare. I tested more compact competitors, my hand ached after 20 minutes, and Nikon is doing well in this regard. I especially appreciated when switching from the D750 - this is a touch screen. And since the weight of the camera is small, it turned out to be very convenient to shoot through the screen, although in dynamic scenes it is still easier through the viewfinder. I'm so used to it. Image stabilization, less movement, video is more stable. Sometimes at work I had to shoot small videos, I can’t always trust my tremor pens, but everything is fine here. The double card slot is just a gift in this camera. I was stressed out by the situation with the Z6, with one of the most expensive cards in the world :)))) I'm not talking about the retractable screen, transferring files to the phone, because for 6 years I have used these gadgets in the D750 and I am very glad that they are also in my new camera. Special thanks for the adapter, I have a model with it. I can use my lenses, because it would be very problematic to immediately overpower the purchase of a carcass and new glasses. I liked the extended grid of shooting style settings. I was indulged, for family shooting it’s the most. Do not load yourself with processing, but immediately it’s good . Working high iso. There is practically no noise with the correct exposure (for errors, see disadvantages), at ISO 10000 the picture is digestible and can be processed. Different cons: The instructions indicate that Nikon EN-EL15 native batteries are suitable for all series. The native battery, from my Nikon D750 did not fit, swears. So I'll have to splurge on the battery))) Because with one I feel extremely uncomfortable. I tested the 24-50 kit lens. I thought to take it with a whale for trips and walks with my family . But no . He no longer inspired me and did not satisfy me. Dark and the picture is not the same . But, if for shooting on vacation, without nit-picking, in good lighting, a very good compact option. About noise. ISO 3000, underexposed frame. Burning pixels appeared. In DSLRs, I didn’t know about them at all: neither about broken ones, nor about burning ones. And then just a constellation of blue-red-green. I read it. There are several conditions, I will continue to test. But when processing such an unpleasant moment.
