I purchased this as a medication fridge for insulin and similar meds. I wanted something I could swap between AC and DC in order to use a more energy efficient solution should the power go out. I plugged this into an Ecoflow Mini Wireless using the included 12v plug and it ran successfully for about 18 hours. While this isn't perfect, it's more than adequate for continuous power if I swap between 2 of those power stations, or hook it up to a more robust 12v source for long term (i.e. off-grid) use. It's very efficient, pulling very minimal power when not running, and pulling around 45w while actively cooling. It holds temperature well enough that I trust it to keep the medications at the expected ranges.Overall it's a bit bulky for my needs, but given the performance and efficiency, I'm ok with the trade-off. If I had to come up with 1 legit complaint, it's the power plug into the unit. I'm not familiar with whatever that plug-type is, it's proprietary as far as I can tell. So if I were to lose the AC or DC adapters, I don't know how easy it would be to source a new one from a readily-available source. Hopefully I won't have to find out any time soon, it does seem robust enough that it won't break and the cable ends seem like they'll last as well.
