Recently I bought a pair of Moca Adapters but for some reason I could not connect directly to the modem as shown in so many YouTube videos. Lan, No link to the upstairs Moca adapter. After giving up and coming back to the problem a week later, I hooked up the adapter to a spare coax coming off the cable line coming into the house. And I got Lan. Problem was I did not have a link it still needed an ethernet cable to the router, and the router was 80ft away! Fortunately, I figured I could run a 100ft cable behind couches and book shelving and it would not be seen. This flat cable worked perfectly. Perhaps Cat8 is overkill for me, but the price was great, so I figured why not, at least it's future proof. I have Cat7 for the rest of the network. Moca is much, much better than a powerline adapter. My download speeds doubled. Thank you Smolink!
