My work ranges from recording 30 second commercials, TV news segments, interviews to event coverage and these monopods have performed exceptionally well proven. I have a GH5 in a cage, a Panasonic XLR, a Rode mic, wooden handles, a small flashlight, and wireless gear attachment points. When used primarily as a speed booster with a Sigma Art lens, this is quite a heavy fully loaded rig. Compared to a traditional tripod, it's 10 times easier to pick it up and move it to where I need to be and leave a small area when I get there and stabilize for the shot. It is stable enough to go away on its own without worry (you need to take care of people). The new carbon fiber is nice and if it holds up as well as the aluminum then I'll be happy. I bought it to use for my interview so I can have 2 monopods instead of using tripods at all. I've looked at alternatives from Manfrotto and others and this one is by far the best in terms of build quality, stability and ease of use in my opinion. I use Manfrotto heads and platters on all my gear and it has worked great. The only drawback are the leg screws. They get weaker over time, and if you're not careful from time to time you can lose one. I've replaced it with a .10 which doesn't fit but I don't care, I would say in the years I've owned it I've noticed that they lose 3-4 times.
