Review on 🐢 JoyHi Retractable Baby Dog Gates - Extra Wide Safety for Kids, Pets, and Childproofing Hallways and Stairs by Jennifer Wilson

Persistent, not mobile.

My son and his cat are moving into an apartment. He didn't want that cat scratching his door so we got this gate. Well, he's moving into an apartment, and this gate is a permanent installation. This was a big disappointment because Jack had scratched my garage door. Ooooh we switched places with him and took my temporary baby gate and I'm stuck to install a permanent gate in my hallway. To the gates themselves. There are paper templates for installation. It took me almost two hours to install. The good thing about a fixed installation is that it doesn't fall off the door frame and when it's open my Roomba can get in and out. When closed, it prevents my pets from entering my Fortress of Solitude which has a wool rug. Because they are old and lazy, they don't jump or scratch the panel. The downside is that it is permanent. Now there are holes in the wall (with dowels) and now there are holes in the door panel. I put mine higher, away from the bottom bar. The clasps are strong. It takes a hot minute to get used to all of this. At first I hated it but I gave it a week. I love that I can keep the door open and air the room without letting the dogs on the carpet.

Cons
  • Fading
