Review on Floor standing speaker system YAMAHA HS8 1 speaker white by Ada Adusiaa ᠌

My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

You can safely buy these monitors without even comparing them with others, because the sound in Yamaha is just what the doctor ordered! It is not for nothing that every self-respecting recording studio has the products of this company in its arsenal! Build quality is top notch! Everything is tightened, there is no excess glue on the diffuser . As I wrote in the shortcomings, the only thing that is inconvenient is the controls on the rear panel . before and after work I have to bypass each monitor to turn it on and off . but I use them as a mid-field monitor, the distance from the workplace to the monitors is 1.5 meters . even if the controls were in the front, like the adam ax series, for example, then I would still have to get up and go to them to turn them on or off) As for the sound: in the eight-inch version, these monitors sound great! The power reserve is huge (it will pump all the neighbors if you use them in an apartment!) High frequencies worked out well, do not irritate the ear! There is a high-frequency level control, you can adjust it to your preferences . The middle is detailed, you can feel the depth. if the instrument is sitting in the wrong place in the mix, it will immediately become clear. Low frequencies, deep, soft. not smeared . Someone says that Yamaha has a problem with the bottoms - do not believe it! bottoms are present in full! it’s just that the monitors need to be positioned as the manufacturer advises (1.5 meters from the walls) . if you put them close to the wall, then the lower classes will naturally not reveal their potential, because they have a phase inverter at the back . I advise everyone! Great monitors! in the right hands they will last a long time and will delight you every second of operation!))

Pros
  • Sound, sound and more sound! Detailed mids, non-pressing highs, smart lows. a great sense of space.
Cons
  • There are no shortcomings, the only thing that someone may not like is the control on the rear panel . well, here it’s for taste and color .
