I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

Pros: They are good, they are very good. I will change only to Adams. Yamaha knows how to make budget acoustics the best. They have served faithfully for more than 5 years. They are still happy. Cons below: The phase inverter is at the back, you have to put them away from the wall, they buzz in an unprepared room just like that.

I like everything, the price and quality are acceptable.

Before that, I worked on KRK RP5G2, in comparison, this model is certainly better in the mids, highs, but the bass leaves much to be desired if the room is not ready for such monitors. It will be necessary to deal with the acoustics of the room closely + do a rearrangement (the phase inverter is at the back, you have to indent more from the walls). For premises less than 15 sq. M. 8-k will be too much, it is better to take a smaller model. I was very pleased with the fact that there was no…

Pros
  • - The top and middle sound great, every detail is audible. - Good build. - Convenient packaging.
Cons
  • - Rear phase inverter. - In an unprepared room, as well as with the wrong location of the monitors from the walls, the bass will not be enough. - Do not purchase these monitors if the room is small in size. At high volumes, everything will itch, buzz, mumble. - Monitors turn on indicators are bright (but this is more of a nitpick)

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

My girlfriend and I are just now sticking out from the beautiful, clear sound of hs8 !))) Guys! And this is without any equalizers! Hi-End at home! In the trash all the past acoustics. Don't spoil your ears like me! Grab hs8 and STOP the sound of these monitors! 1.5 m from the wall is desirable! But I personally will still get myself a Sub Yamaha hs8s, for watching movies, but also for a more immersive state when listening to high-quality music! All Love and Prosperity!

Pros
  • Friends! Take it, for this money - this is super sound quality in your home, studio! After Ave, Sven, Genius, on which I wrote, mixed and listened to my favorite music and films, I felt like I was in a fairy tale!)) Now in music I heard something that I could not hear before. There was depth in the Bass, a soft Middle, plus "transparent clean Air at the top". Yes, exactly, the presence of "Super high" frequencies is felt - 30kHz! But you can't hear it in mp3! Lossless only! I will take Sub Yamaha hs8s, for home theater, plus hs5 for the rear! I think that for the home, this is a great solution! Hi-end for sure!
Cons
  • There is none of them!

I bought myself an EVOBOX karaoke system for 75,000, which, when connected to a soundbar, gave a noticeable delay when playing karaoke tracks. The consultant in the store advised me to choose monitors for my karaoke. The choice settled on the Yamaha HS8. This acoustics was ideally suited for my purposes - it accelerates the sound very well around the room, gives an honest sound and thus allows you to better tune the microphones and the level of playing the melody on the set-top box. Enough…

Pros
  • All the goodies in the comments!
Cons
  • There are no such

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

Perfect for a home studio. This is just what was sorely lacking. I use it with sound. Roland v-studio 100 card and Cubase 7.5. Now I'm just ashamed that I used to use microlab speakers. I see no reason to take younger models. For the price, the difference is not great, but there will be less bass. For those who write music at home: a must take! For those who listen to music: you can take it, but for a good sound, you really have to forget about mp3!

Pros
  • clear sound, clear mids. pretty tight bass, just beautiful.
Cons
  • I would like the bass to be even denser, but this is already nit-picking.

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

All described earlier. Very good. As for a sound man who even worked for the president. I know everything how everything should sound, not in the first generation. )) WITH MOS FILM. )) Guys, if you don't have enough money to show off, take sweets DRYING *8. Happiness, kindness, love to people. Got pros: Well, for starters, I'll start my story about the pros. This is the most excellent device for seeing music, all instrument tracks, the whole panorama of sound open before you. It is easy to…

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

I heard someone complain that, they say, they lack bass . I don’t agree, the bass here is very informative, fast and deep enough, and all this often eliminates the need to buy a subwoofer. It looks like the bass that a good rebar produces, and the sound in general reminds me of good rebar headphones. And the comrade who wrote in the review that there are "no monitors" at all, is more like a "troll", because. all this can be written either on purpose, or without ever listening to this…

Pros
  • Excellent detail in comparison with competitors (I personally didn’t find anything better in this price range, although I tried). Acoustics fully justifies its purpose (the result is a very good studio monitoring, and not what many analogues offer). Great build and overall quality. If anything, a good brand with reasonable, as a rule, pricing, and which has already earned the respect of people more than once
Cons
  • special and no. maybe the amplifying part is a bit weak (I personally would like a little more) Alternatively, they can not weakly cut the brain already in the middle of the volume, especially if the recording is not very well mixed . you won’t listen for a long time (well, that’s why it’s a “monitor”, on the other hand .) But this is all very subjective and not as important as it seems to me.

Great product, best quality.

I use it in a 4x3.5 room with a BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UMC202 sound card. I'm very pleased with the sound. It's a pity for the neighbors from the bass) The sound quality is simply amazing. Before buying there was fear, because. I read forums that there is little bass. In fact, it seems like it really doesn’t exist, but most likely the problem is with the acoustic processing of the room in which they stand. I'll post here when I figure out why. Someone tells me that if there are no bottoms, then…

Pros
  • Very beautiful and modern design, the highest quality sound in its price category, sufficient power. Additional switches on the rear panel for correcting low and high frequencies (I put them in the standard position), beautiful luminous badges with the Yamaha logo.
Cons
  • Not detected. Read the comments for the bass.

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

Perfect acoustics. Great sound. Beautiful. Stand 20 cm from the wall. At first they sounded cheap. Two weeks later, suddenly woke up and sounded perfect. They don't sound worse than floorstanding speakers. Monitors make life a lot easier. With the purchase of these babies, there is no need to search for the perfect amplifier, interconnects and speaker cables. I connected it with professional wires to the XLR DAC. No more wiring problems. Monitors YAMAHA HS8 - some pluses. Satisfied with the…

Pros
  • Clean, great sound. On the bottoms, the floorstanders beat. Compared with KRK 8 in the cabin. Where the KRK has a low frequency hum, the YAMAHA HS8 delivers a clean drum head sound. This fact solved the problem of choice. The sound you need. Too low.
Cons
  • Bright power indicator lights. Two power cords. Power switches on the back. Which is inconvenient. I had to take an extension cord with a power switch. I turn off all my equipment.

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

These are my first monitors, so I was surprised when, while listening to long-familiar compositions, I began to pay attention to details that I had not noticed before. Why you need lossless becomes clear after the first comparisons with mp3 128/44. In general, for an apartment they are quite large in volume; although I knew about the sizes, but when I came to pick them up from the store, I got a little bigger on the size . I even wanted to replay the order for HS7 . But having gathered all my…

Cons
  • rear switch no covers to protect the speakers from dust

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

Bought for listening to music, more jazz and so on. The sound is legible, without dirt, the scene is well audible, the localization, as it were, is noticeably closer to live instruments. On some compositions, effects began to be heard that previously merged with other instruments and were indistinguishable. You need to find a place in the room to sound decent. Otherwise, you can get buzzing bottoms or mumbling. I tried it with a SAB, you can get good lows at low volume, and so . the lows are…

Pros
  • Price, sound quality, assembly, nothing more.
Cons
  • The power transformer in one monitor is buzzing, you can hear it if you put your ear to the case. Not critical, but this is a defect. I'd rather fix it myself than take it to the service. The appearance is strict and no frills, conventional bookshelf speakers are more advanced in design.

Nice product, happy with my purchase and may buy again.

Excellent monitors in the ratio price / quality It is inconvenient that the indicators of the yamaha icon are constantly on, annoying at night. Some pros: Detailed middle, clear high frequencies, speaker size, MDF body material. Mixing post-rock, electronica is a pleasure. Some cons: Slightly booming low frequencies, but it's all about the size of the room where you put it, for example, in my 3x4 m you won't listen loudly. In another room, 5x7m sounds much better.

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

They require a lot of space in order for the sound to be without overtones and buzzing low frequencies (the manual indicates a minimum of 1.5 m from any wall - and this is how it turns out in practice) But, if you provide them with this necessary space, then they will certainly please you.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

You can safely buy these monitors without even comparing them with others, because the sound in Yamaha is just what the doctor ordered! It is not for nothing that every self-respecting recording studio has the products of this company in its arsenal! Build quality is top notch! Everything is tightened, there is no excess glue on the diffuser . As I wrote in the shortcomings, the only thing that is inconvenient is the controls on the rear panel . before and after work I have to bypass each…

Pros
  • Sound, sound and more sound! Detailed mids, non-pressing highs, smart lows. a great sense of space.
Cons
  • There are no shortcomings, the only thing that someone may not like is the control on the rear panel . well, here it’s for taste and color .

Excellent monitors, I use it in conjunction with the hs8s subwoofer With it, their sound is revealed completely and becomes magnificent!) I recommend getting a subwoofer. My settings: Monitors hihg trim: -2 Room control - 0 Level - +4db Subwoofer phase - Normal Low Cut 80 High Cut 80 Level - +4db I'm completely satisfied with this setup. If you are interested in looking at my acoustics, then type in YouTube "Yamaha hs8 + hs8s" and you will find my video

Pros
  • Clear sound! Great design! Powerful! truthful
Cons
  • Lacks bass depth (Low frequencies below 50 hertz are barely audible) Whoever says anything!

I recommend listening only with an external DAC! And Worthy cables! I've been using them for about 2 years now. Before that, there were HS5 and HS7, and now moved to HS8. On younger models, over time, you realize that there are few bottoms. I would like to connect a sub to them. Everything is great on these! Quite win back from their 34Hz. Neighbors are happy!

Pros
  • Sound, appearance.
Cons
  • At maximum volume, the speakers begin to wheeze.

Best price for this product, will buy more!

I have been using monitors for a year, during this time no shortcomings have been identified. The sound of the tracks in them is true (in its price category). Therefore, whoever has a small amount of money, take these monitors. Compared to krk, they are more truthful, tracks sound correctly on them when bass is littered on krk (Compare yourself in the store before buying). I'm happy with the monitors. I'm not going to change.

Pros
  • Great model for the money! - sound quality; - bass (believe me, it's enough, those who say that it doesn't exist, I just use monitors in an unprepared room); - design;
Cons
  • Not found;
