Very useful when trying to move wired internet access from one corner of the house to the other. Thanks to a network of (no kidding) coaxial cable reaching every room in the house. I identified the wire leading to my master bedroom which was the trickiest part. I brought an ethernet cable up to my attic and hooked it up to an identified cable with this wonderful little device. The other end was bright (in the master). For reference, I'm getting 75-100 Mbps over this connection. My desktop workstation came alive. I plan to use the switch to extend my TV. I use USB powered devices. It was difficult to find a power supply for my connection in the attic. None of the phone adapters worked. Get the power version if possible.
