I have a 2016 honda hrv exl, my start button started working, i had to press it sometimes 20 times to start again. Sometimes I light up on the dashboard to enter the smart key. I read forums online that people with the same machine had the same problem and it was indeed the start button. Called the dealer to ask about the start button and mentioned the dash. They didn't quote or do anything until they ran a diagnostic test, which cost $160. Decided to buy this easy, watched a youtube video on how to install super easy, took less than 5 minutes, dashboard no longer lights up and starts up every time.
