Just tested another set of KitchenAid Y Cleaners which worked well but were uncomfortable for my hand. However, this set does not have this problem! The shape of the handles offers an easy and ergonomic grip, especially for those with small hands. Both peelers work well and peel vegetables easily. I usually prefer Y-shaped scissors, but grew up with a different type of knife. I'm disappointed that KitchenAid chose to cover the knife with a plastic cap rather than opening and sharpening the blade. I'm used to using knives like a knife, using the point to gouge out the eyes of a potato, or the flat edge of the blade to slice the fruit into chunks after peeling.
