For a typical trail camera, that's really all you need. There are many options that can be set up easily in the menu. The LCD display is excellent. I didn't even have to go to the manual to figure out how to adjust the camera settings. Very intuitive and easy to use if you have used a trail camera before. For the price-performance ratio, I will reach for my previous Moultrie cameras every day. It all uses AA batteries, but I've found the Energizer Lithium and Powerowl batteries to be the best. Lithium lasts all year in very cold climates. See attached videos. The target animal is about 25 feet away. In fact, the IR is only good up to 40 feet, which is all I need. It's difficult to count points in this area, but you can still tell what you're looking at and estimate the size.
