My neighbor bought and installed some patio lights and I decided to light my patio too. I didn't want to "bite" their style, so I opted for color-changing lights since the rest of my apartment is made up of color-changing LEDs, star laser projectors, and black lights. (I need some fun!) I have a Govee Dreamlight LED strip at home, also called a portal because of the arches above my bar counter, so I already have the Govee Home phone app installed and am enjoying all the modes as well as the DIY mode . These patio lights work almost exactly the same and their modes are amazing. The lighting mode that is most practical is great for a small patio about 10 feet high and illuminates an area that is just about enough, I mean doing laundry and when I need to fire up my smoker/grill The color temperature is a little warmer than I would like but it's not as bad as my original interior lighting which was on the verge of yellow The stunning color modes aren't as bright, lend themselves but good as decorative lighting for my shisha sessions on the terrace or when I want to play with neighbors and friends I didn't buy the set that came with the remote control so I won't talk about it but I had no problems with the bluetooth App on my phone It rained at my house recently and the lights are indeed waterproof but like other reviews Gen say, the "brains" of the lights aren't waterproof, so I kept the controller and power plug out of the rain and had no problems. My patio is about 9ft x 11ft and I installed the lights in 3 rows of 5 lights which look great. If you have a patio the same size or close by and you like the idea of colored lights I would definitely recommend these lights.
