I don't know how many cables supplied by Apple I've tried, they twist, bend, break at the head. That Sorrows braided cord provides strength and prevents it from twisting and peeling. The ends are slightly longer and made so they are not as easy to cut as the old cords I had. The 10-foot length comes in handy since the closest outlet to a good chair died during recent ice storm outages. I don't know what's wrong, but due to the location of the USB-C on this MacBook, the cable tends to bend when I'm comfortable, but as I said, the braided cable keeps it from bending tight and up that puts pressure on the computer, my old cables broke.
