I connected a Cat5e cable to my router and ran it to an 850ft shack (run in conduit). There I connected the cat5e to the Comfast AC100 Wireless Access Point, simply unscrewing one of the two high gain rubber antennas and screwing this cable in its place. I mounted this directional antenna to a pole (I wish the cord to this thing was a bit longer to give a few more feet of headroom) and now I'm getting Wi-Fi on the other side of the building. It even works on the porch of a cabin over 100 meters away (and where the signal has to go through the trees). Very impressive. Very, very efficient. Update: I've had it for a few months now and haven't had any issues. The range is incredible. If you can see that white piece of paper (this is what the antenna looks like) even though the white is partially obscured by the oak trees, you have a good internet signal. Very cool.
