"Orpheus" made by ROKR and sold by ROBOTIME is an amazing wooden craft kit. I just finished building it with the help of my 8 year old son. We spent a few hours over the course of two days, he punched and aligned the parts (and read the tiny part numbers from the instructions for me) and I glued and assembled it. The finished product is stunning. Eternal masterpiece. The laser cut is as perfect as I had hoped. Every detail was 100% correct. I am very impressed with this product! The instructions were complete, well written and illustrated despite the fact that the text is small, every detail is covered including what needs to be glued. The included glue is similar to white Elmers glue, which dries a bit. It seemed that using this glue would require some waiting during assembly, so we used very small dots of superglue instead to speed up the assembly. I think this was the right way, but remember that if you go this way, adjusting the misaligned parts is not possible. You have to be extremely careful and thrifty if you don't want the superglue to ooze out of the seams. The instructions don't say much about which parts to glue, but we chose to glue all solid parts for durability as it was obvious. that without glue some parts will not stay in place. You'll have to evaluate this as you go and stick more than the instructions say. A small piece of sandpaper was included, but none of the pieces needed sanding. Every detail emerged cleanly with no burrs or anomalies. The light component requires 2 button cell batteries. The instructions say they are included but our kit didn't have them. We needed two LR44 cells. We had to bend the wires leading to the LED to position it closer to the center of the inner cavity since it was offset to one side. The music box sounds great and looks very well made, the song is perfect for that. Robot. The rod from the music box goes through the top to spin the gears and propeller in the dome, which is probably the coolest part of the robot. It is lit from the inside, has a wind-up music box, turning gears, a domed crown, lots of details, what more could you ask for. This is an amazing deal at the current price of $26 and is actually worth a lot more. This kit has a small number of reviews suggesting I'm not very well known. Well, if you are looking for a cool wooden craft kit that will make you smile, then this is it! Nothing to improve on that. Perfection!
