This camera was just installed and the setup was pretty easy. I use it with a passive injector and a POE splitter (link below). I tried this with two of my active POE injectors and they wouldn't turn on. You need to use the included power adapter and connect it to the POE injector. The injector is then connected to a network switch. You then connect a long network cable to the injector and run it outside the home. Then connect a POE splitter to this long cable and connect the power and network connectors to the camera. It does a pretty good job of tracking. There's a little leaflet that tells you how to turn it on. It can track people walking at a normal or fast pace. Not sure why the other reviewer said it can't track normal steps. The camera can be viewed and configured in Google Chrome, which is a plus. Others I've tried can only be used with Internet Explorer.
