So here's the deal. I buy this particular carpet cleaner because it's herbal, NOT FOR THE SMELL! I know some people who complain that they don't notice a difference or that there really is no smell. It works wonders for me and my dog! I'm a cleaning freak and every aspect of my house needs to be clean, but overly scented carpet cleaners have soiled my dog's skin. He has allergies. I've switched to this and other herbal household products and I've noticed a HUGE difference in it! It's an expensive size for the size of a bottle considering I use it around the house, but if it helps with his scratches it's a winner for me!
