Review on Enhance Your Paper Craft with YURROAD 19pcs 🎨 Paper Quilling Tools Kit: DIY Tool Set for Paper Strips by Amanda Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Overall excellent value for money.

I will review each tool in the kit from the point of view of someone who has been bulging for several years but is unwilling to invest a fortune in a quality tool. Tools: Scissors are strong, light and very sharp; ideal for precise cuts. They are about 5 inches from the top to the bottom of the handles. The quilling pen has a fairly cheap plastic handle, but is otherwise very comfortable to use. , and the cap (attached with elastic, WIN!) are great for quilling. Shilo, CHEAP to be honest. My pen had scraps of plastic from the factory mold and is too thick to serve as a needle. Still, it's the perfect awl for smaller projects. The tweezers are too thick at the tip for a small project, but work well for large coils. The molded cork sheet is smaller than I expected (about half a letter tall) and the cork itself is quite dry. To avoid getting bits of cork in my rolls, I carefully peeled them off the plastic frame, covered them with very thin clear plastic wrap (from a small resealable bag) and put them back into the plastic mold. Works perfectly! I really like the plastic lap marker; It's the same as many of the quilling people I follow on YouTube, making it a lot easier to try and replicate their designs. It's also pretty durable. 3-row 3D shape works well for basic shaping, the smallest round dome shape being about a quarter inch in diameter. up to one and six-eighths of an inch for the largest. It's also made of durable plastic. The quilling comb is quite large - although the teeth themselves are no thicker than say the comb I bought from the Quilling Superstore, they are spaced further apart so all the loops are longer and all the designs are larger. The paper crimper is wide enough for strip up to 3/8" wide and has two different sets of rolls so you can choose the crimp density based on your design. The attached template plate is much better than I expected, although it's also quite small is - the hole area is about 3" by 3". However, it comes with 21 pins, each of which fits the entire board perfectly, and the small storage box is designed to close tightly. so that the pins do not roll on the table (or floor) if you move them carelessly. A great curling machine like you would get from Quilling Creations or something. The five stacked shapes (circle, oval, diamond, triangle, and square) are made out of fairly flimsy plastic, but lack the occasional plastic bits. This tears or deforms the paper strips. Each tier is about 3/8" wide, although I'm sure they could be rolled into wider strips if done slowly and carefully. Overall excellent value for money. Triangle and square) are made from fairly thin Plastic but don't have the occasional plastic parts. This tears or deforms the paper strips.
