To stabilize my bookshelves.
I use them in combination with the other side of the stud to mount some bookshelves in my living room. This is done to give the bookshelves more stability when assembling and to stabilize each other. I will also use them to attach the bookshelves to the wall. This gives the bookshelves more stability.
