I drive a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT. I figured there would be less assembly on my end for something this expensive. I pre-assembled the unit the night before installing it to look like the picture. The only difficulty was the long end of the screen. I don't know why the screws didn't go all the way in one piece. Installing it in the car was pretty easy. Not everyone had the best ground clearance. The heated hose will come into contact with the sharp edge of the heat shield, which can cause problems. I used a cut shield overlay to attach to the heat shield to protect the hose. A hole for the air sensor screw did not fit. Idle is fine, but when you accelerate you hear a sound like you're smiling broadly and sucking in air through clenched teeth. Didn't notice any HP boost. In general, we'll see. I will let you know if anything changes or if something happens to my gas mileage. I think I should have just bought a filter for the default setup.
